new with questions....
I am new to this forum! I am of Scottish decent and my family claims the Douglas and Bruce clans. I have joined because I have a quest that I have set myself on and I hope that you will be able to help. I have a picture of a young WWI Scottish soldier and I am trying to identify his regiment. I am new to this so I am not ever sure where to start. I have a ton of books about British cap badges and some books on Scottish regiments. I would love to post the pic but can't seem to figure out how to do so on this forum. Thank you ahead of time! Heidi St.George

First, welcome aboard from western North Carolina, the greatest place on Earth!
Next, upload the pictures into Photobucket or Picasa or some other online photo-sharing site. Once you've done that, copy the image location, and paste it here between a pair of these:

That's all there is to it!

Hi Heidi,
In my first attempt I tried a couple of time to post from Picassa and finally gave up. I had a photobucket account and from Photobucket it is VERY easy. There are instructions in a sticky post at the top of the "Show Us Your Pics" forum. Photobucket is free and worth the savings in frustration.
What part of Maryland are you from? I'm in Prince George's County.

I like to use the image hosting site tinypic.com
Upload your photo there, and it should give you a link to use on messageboards that will look like
