Hello folks! I just joined this site and was encouraged to introduce myself. I started attending the Grandfather Mtn Highland games in the early '70's with my dad. OMG--was it really that long ago? After the first visit, we were hooked. Thereafter, we ordered kilts and camped out the whole weekend each year. We walked from campfire to campfire in the fog during the night and shared yarns, beer, scotch, and friendship. Soon my older sister started coming along. Then my two older brothers. Dad is gone, but now my brothers, my sister, my daughters, and my bagpiper nephew attend games together on both coasts. Macdonalds all! I'm so eaten up with it that I didn't change my name when I married and my girls both have Macdonald as their last name. ;) I'm a Clan Donald life member and have made the pilgrimage to the clan castle on the Isle of Skye during my active duty AF years while stationed in England. I look forward to making new friends and learning more about my past from this site. Sláinte, clmac
