Newbie from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada
Hi, my name is Shane MacLeod and I'd always wanted a kilt and purchased one for my wedding in 2004. I had the kilt, sporran and sgian but rented the rest for the big day. Unfortunately, I didn't quite know what I was doing and followed the rental advice thus ending up with a belt with waistcoat (and too short waist coat combined with too long sleeves in the coatee).

After my wedding, my kilt hung in my closet until about two years ago. I decided, since my suit didn't fit and my kilt did, that I should invest in a jacket and waistcoat and have worn these to a few events. This summer I picked up a cheap kilt for wearing around and my mother in law knitted me a sweater to wear with my kilts for Christmas.

Well met and welcome Shane. I like the sweater and think that style/combo fits well with a kilt. Glad to have you with us and look forward to your future input.

Welcome from Southwestern Ontario - although I'm a native maritimer from PEI. A little loud McLeod sure brightens up the place. :-)
