Newbie in LA, with questions
Greetings to the Kilted Community,
I have recently been very interested in getting my first kilt. Between the Ren Faires I've gone to for many years to the recent LA Irish Music Festival, it seems I've got the bug.
On Monday I placed an order for one of SWK's Thrifty Kilt as my first kilt. I'm school teacher on a budget, and the cost of entry into the kilted world is a bit steep (shorts are much cheaper), especially on a tight budget and with a wife who thinks I'm a bit nuts.
The reviews on the forum seem to be pretty good on SWK. I was wondering if I could get some feedback from the forum as to what I should expect. I placed my order early (before 7 AM PDT) on Monday and I got a receipt from the website indicating that my order had been placed, then I sent an email to check on delivery time, but have yet to receive a reply.
How much time is normal for a reply? As you may be able to tell when I get focused on something (like getting my first kilt) I'm not as patient as I should be.
Thanks for any feedback. I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions since I;m just getting started.
Regards,
Marshal Moroni
PS, I had a typo when registering, how do I fix this?

from upper California, if you send a PM to one of the Mods, they should be able to sort you out. The thrifty kilt is new so I don't think there are any reviews yet. Welcome to the addiction.

Welcome to Xmarks. I don't believe anyone has purchased a Stillwater thrifty kilt yet, so no one knows a lot about them. As for delivery time, do not be surprised if it shows up in the mail today. Jerry is so fast with shipping and delivery that at times it seems he is physic and ships the item before you order it. I think that in order to fix the typo in your user name, you might have to PM Mike1 and have him reset it for you. Mike gets a bit grouchy sometimes, but he really doesn't mind making a correction for you (as long as you don't make a habit of it).
