Newbie sayin' "Hey!"
I found this site while researching kilts. I own one kilt in the U.S. Navy tartan, and I'm looking for one in the Irvine tartan. My wife and I are both of Scots-Irish ancestry and I really enjoy wearing my kilt. I haven't received any unkind remarks while wearing it, but, some of my friends and co-workers don't understand the attraction. Their loss, I guess, but, I am trying to educate them. A group of letter carriers tried to pass a resolution at our National Convention to get a kilt uniform option, but, it didn't pass. Several of the carriers were wearing a grey Utilikilt prototype and the women from my local union thought they looked great. The men, not so much. Oh, well. Now that I'm retired I may well buy a Utilikilt or two for daily wear. UP THE KILTS!

There was quite a bit of press on the postal worker kilt, we had a lot of threads on it here.

Does UK still make the "postal blue" version?

I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear
