Newbie saying hello
Hi my name is Valeria and a newbie and I've joined you all because I want to knit some kilt hose for someone in Groningen (netherlands) and would like all the help I can get.
Can I ask my questions over here or should I go to a specific forum board?
By the way I'm a 43 year old mom of a 9 year old son and living together for 23 years with his dad
My hobbies are a lot and why I'm now knitting a kilt hose?? Because of a question on ravelry (a knitting message board huge....) and there was someone asking to knit this for him. And I excepted this to at least give it a try.
It will be argyle knitted hoses without seams and not the easiest way to go but I want to give it some try outs before I go to the cabled ones.
Oh and excuse me for any mistakes in my english I've had only two years on school when I was about 16 years and oh my....it's not my native language but I'm improving as I go.
Have a great day
Valeria.

Welcome. The English is just fine.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Welcome
Welcome to the forum, your english is fine, and probably better than many of the natives. Good luck with your project, there are many fine scholars and craftspeople on this forum that are only too happy to answer your questions.
Alas, I am not one of them..................not that I wouldn't be happy too, I just don't know anything about knitting...........but welcome!
Respectfully,
David

Thank you both :o) I'm finding out still how everything works but I'm fine :o)
I see that I wrote that someone asked for him but no he asked it himself...(sorry for the mixup)
Glad that there are more people who knit.

Welcome from Savannah, Georgia.
Some of the more experienced members might be able to direct you to the best specific forum to ask questions about knitting hose. I know there is a "Kiltmaker's Forum" and a "DIY'ers (short for Do-it-yourself-ers) Forum" and those might work.
One thing is for sure, you'll be able to find some good advice on this site.
