Newby G'day from Melbourne Australia
Hello All,
Newbie here from Melbourne Australia.
A bit about me: I am 47 years old, living in the Northern Suburbs of melbourne, live alone with my daughter every other week. I work in I.T. in the medical industry which keeps me as busy as I want to get! I like motorcycling; I ride a 2013 Honda CBR500R at the moment, it isn't a full on power bike, but enough to have fun, commute to work, go on small trips, and be reliable safe and economic to boot. I do tinker a bit with technology, and am working a little on a mobile phone to pc convergence project. I have just started with the watch collecting bug, and if any of you have caught it, it is a rather debilitating disease indeed! I also strangely enough at my age love watching Japanese Anime, but i do not watch any television or radio at all.
I have recently purchased a Utility Kilt in black, and found the link here from what seems to be a defunct website called Bravehearts. I suspect there may be a few of you on this site from there but don't know yet.
I am looking forward to wearing a variety of kilts in the future, but so far I have challenged myself to wear a kilt twice this year in public. Slow and steady wins the race.
I am English by descent, although my mother's father was a Scot, but I do not know much about him other than he was a great big red-haired man, who was charged with bigamy when my mother was born and hauled off to jail, and that's all I know about my Scottish heritage.
But anyone can wear a kilt, just because.
Anyway i have probably rambled a bit...
Anyway, g'day, howyagoin? I suppose i should poke around the forum topics and read and learn for a bit.
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who wear kilts, and those who don't.

Welcome from a Scotsman living in middle England.
Your ancestry sounds interesting - may be worth researching further. I'm sure there's a lot to discover.

collecting watches
Welcome and well met. Your collecting watches caught my eye, it is also one of my interests. One of the others being a clockmaker.
So, tell me about your collection. I have noticed that a lot of people on this forum share many of the same interests.
Tom.
Be seeing you.
