No kilt yet!
Hi all!
My name's Ryan and I have mixed Irish and Scottish heritage. I was at a friend/co-worker's house last weekend and he showed me this forum. Needless to say, I was hooked!
I'm not kilted yet, but love the DIY sections and hope to be wearing my own soon.
I'm from Colorado and in the middle of a two-year experiment to go without a car, cell phone, or personal computer (I'm at work right now.) It's not easy...but I keep telling myself it's a good experience. Glad to be here!

Re: No kilt yet!
Welcome from Oklahoma! I made it 4 years without a phone, tv or computer. Life was much more simple...Best of luck on your experiment.

A Hundred Thousand Welcomes from Massachusetts. Unfortunately my job revolves around my phone, so that experiment will not be attempted by me. I bet it would be nice though.

Re: No kilt yet!
Hi Ryan and welcome.
I've been submerged in the Scots/Irish community for 20 years, making kilts for 17 of those years and only just joined XMTS this month.
Have fun without all those modern conveniences and when you're through with your experiment, would you talk to my daughter who can't make a move without texting to the world????????????????????? Yes, there is a life and a world out there without a cellphone. lol

Re: No kilt yet!
I know you! You're the guy that's always asking me for a ride, right?!
Not sure I'm happy you're here; I think I get enough of you at work. Knew I could convert you to kilts if I tried hard enough, though.
