Just a short introduction. As you can see my name is Darren Smith and I live in Surrey BC Canada. I'm 50 years young, ( almost 51) and until yesterday, May 20, 2012, I had never worn a Kilt in my entire life. A co-worker of mine talked me into trying one so when I was in Victoria this weekend to march in the Victoria Day Parade I managed to make to the Highland games and I was able to try on and purchase my first Kilt. I wore it for a while last evening and was already asked to pose for a photo with a couple of "Kilt groupies". Who knew, I didn't. LOL.
Welcome, Darren, from Inverness-shire and British Columbia. Do you suppose there is any other reason than just plain comfort that we have been wearing this for so long?
