Not quite a newbie but new to Oregon.

Hey Xmarkers. I'm not quite a newbie but I haven't been on in so long I might as well be. Life has just been rediculously busy with work and a new baby. Anyway, I've just moved from the plains of Nebraska out here to the northwest. I'm living out here on the Oregon coast. I know there is quite a kilted contingent in Portland but what about the rest of the state?

Greetings, Blueline (is that as in thin blue line?) Welcome to Xmarks. If you are close to Newport you should be able to locate a group in that area. I base that statement on the fact that Newport has a Highland Games in early summer (this year it will actually be in Toledo, some 7 miles from Newport). Gotta be some kilted folks in the area who organize that event.

We Southern boys can't help you with meeting the Great N.W. territory kilted (and there are many as I'm sure you know) but we welcome you back to the boards here and hope you find the herd there soon and mingle freely among the others.
