An Old First Timer from NE Florida

Okay, 65 years old and just received my first kilt!! And already I have a question. It looks as if it is is machine tacked all the way around at the bottom.
Is there a trick to getting it out, or is it going to be the PITA method of one stitch at a time?

BTW, my first kilt was ordered from Kiltmart and it seems very substantial..I will give a more detail after I see how it hangs with the tacking removed!! Looking forward to learning much, much more.

Welcome from Mid Missouri and I think the olde one stitch at a time works about the best lest you pull a hole or threads on your new kilt.

    Welcome from New Hampshire.
One stitch at a time although it should only be attached at the ends.
So one snip and then careful pulling.

Try removing the stitch from the left side first with the waist at the top, it should pull out freely, but go slow (as stated) so not to bind.
    And welcome from So. Calif.
