From Oregon
Hello,
My name is Ron. I'm so used to posting on forums, I've failed to adhere to procol. My apologies to the Mods and members...
My Daughter and soon to be Son in Law are very proud of their Celtic heritage. Their wedding will be Celtic Scot,Scot-Irish with a touch of Welsh and Oklahoma Cherokee to balance things out.
Their interest in their heritage has renewed my interest in our heritage also. I found your great forum while looking for Sgian Dubh information. My first post is under the DIY forum heading.

Hello MacGowan,
Welcome XMarks from the other side of the world in Norfolk, England.
Are you by any chance related to Edward (Ned) McGowan (March 12, 1813 - December 8, 1892)?
Regards
Chas

Welcome from St. Louis, from another guy who doesn't understand protocol, or at least doesn't care for it. You'll have fun here

Hi Chas,
I doubt it, as my name is Smith. Their could be some connection, if so most likely long before Edward.

My history of non-adherence to protocol could fill volumes. Thanks!
