'Ow Do
I'm a mate of English Bloke and he got me on this site and wearing a kilt. I'm English too, although I'm a proper English Bloke unlike English Bloke who's not an English Bloke at all: he's actually an African Bloke. English by blood, African by birth.
One of my grandparents was a Bradley, which means he was either from Norfolk or of Irish/Scots descent. But that's as far as my tenuous Celtic roots go. That and having read Kidnapped when I was little and liking Runrig - a bit.
Any road. I got dragooned into buying a kilt during a very tired and emotional post Christmas sesh. In fact, I didn't realise I'd done it until my next door neighbour brought the parcel round to my house a week later. If you want the full story, the Bloke who is arguably English posted it some time back. Pictures are here .
Looking forwards to joining in on XMTS as I've been following your fora for a while.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Hello and a warm from Boston, Massaachusetts, U.S.A.
The legend of this kilted board is English, and has way more kilts than I do.
It is the proper place to be.
Cheers mate

Steve, I really must not presume that your reference to "The legend of this kilted board...." is to me, but I suspect it is. Should I be wrong, please put me out of my misery! The fact is (if it IS me) that I am not entirely English. I am one-quarter Scottish - the rest is English - but I have always, for as long as I can remember, felt a stronger allegiance to Scotland than to England. That being said, I am proud to be British and a citizen of the United Kingdom, and a European.
Oh, by the way, in spite of what my avatar says, I now have 98 kilts!
Take care,
Ham.

Hamish,
My humble apologies. I should have written "a resident of England" and probably been a little more correct. One quarter Scot, you say. I wish I had that much. My Kilt Kollection is still growing, but as the figure in the top right shows, I have a loooonnnng way to go.
Also, Ham, if you wish you can go to your profile page and enter the correct number of kilts, and it will show up in the top right corner.
Cheers
