A Quick Question

I was looking though the forums and and I see some are locked. If I'm understanding correctly these are old and no longer allowing new post to them ? I was interested in the kilted troops of the CEF units and was hoping to post a picture of my Grandfather in his uniform. Would the correct way to do this be starting a new thread and if so in what section ? Thanks for the help and the warm welcome from the forum members. Deas Gu Cath

When a thread is "unused" for some time, it goes into lockdown, so yes, the best way is to start a new one. If you want to refer to the old thread, you can embed its URL in your thread-opener,

e.g. "I read in a closed thread <URL here> about the Mickey Mouse regiment of the nation of Slombolilia wearing kilts in the years 1931 - 25. Does anyone know which tartan they wore? Obviously with those years being the ones they are, they must have worn their kilts backwards. Any information about that?"

That should get you the answers and discussion you need.
