Ringing In
Dia Dhuit everyone. I am new here and just wanted to say SOMTHING. I am a third generation Scott-Irish American. I have two kilts, a Amerikilt (Black) and a Still Water Kilt Irish National Tartan. I love both kilts, and have designated Fridays as my kilt day, though more oft than not I wear either kilt more than three or four days a week.
God Bless the Kilted Nations
Cheers,
Best of Regards,
Cory L McHenry

I am a college student and work weekend evenings. So week end outings dont realy exist for me. Id love to find fellow kilted people where I go to college, but that is highly unlikely. I go to college in an Italian town.

I am sure once you started to don your kilts on Fridays, you will be meeting other kilted folks.

I have quite a few friends in Batavia, Cory. Alas, none kilted.
Next time I'm there, though, I'll bring mine and we'll get a drink or something.

It doesn't surprise anyone at school anymore, it only surprises the older Italians in town when i wear me kilt.
Bob, the plan sounds good.
Thank you all for the welcome.
Here is an interesting fact. I have an English professor who wears a Utilikilt every Friday, but it wasnt untill after I had his class one seimester that he got a kilt, I was all about my celtic herritage while in his class.
It wasnt until after he got his kilt that I got mine, the cause... Finances. I love the SW its price and material are awsome, the workmanship is nice as well. AND its easy to resize. I ordered mine a little big and didnt have the money for restock and all that so i resized it meself and you cant tell the difference.
I plan on getting a USA kilt when I can afford it, Probably a Irish County Tartan, dont know if Connaught exists.

There is a Connaught tartan:

And for the older Italians you mentioned, there is also an Italian tartan:
