Semi-New to Kilts
I have been meeting with a group of pipers since February, and am learning to play. They have played pipes at local Scottish Festival the last three years, and I am hooked on everything Scottish! My wife's hobby is genealogy, so she's graciously tracked me back to direct descendant of Robert the Bruce.
Other than trying to learn the bagpipes, I want to completely change my wardrobe from Dockers and suits, to kilts and such. My only kilt so far is Black Watch. I have been told by a few of the Jedi Masters on this forum not to fall into the trap of "Everything must Match", but let the kilt speak for itself.
Here in America, seems as though everything is supposed to be "fashionably" matched. I am slowly seeing the wisdom of the Bards of XMarkstheScot.
Thanks for pointing me in the direction of who, what ,when, where, and why.
You gentlemen are becoming pivotal in my being a proud kilt wearer.
