Servus from Salzkammergut in Austria 🇦🇹

    Hello,
First of all i want to apologize for my „not perfect“ english and i hope that you understand what i try to write 😁
Im new in this forum and i am new in wearing a kilt.
I bought me a cheap used kilt on the internet a week ago and i love the kilt and the feeling of wearing it.
People in my area are not used to see a man wearing a „skirt“ so they stare and comment about it but it don’t bother me at all.
I’m planing to buy a „real“ Kilt in the nearer feature.
Until than i will read this forum and try to learn mor about the kilt

Welcome from Ireland. I enjoyed a visit to Salzburg a few years back and the kilt was well accepted.

Welcome from a Scotsman living in the English midlands. I've visited Austria several times, though never kilted.
Glad to hear you enjoy wearing it, and hope you find a good kilt soon.

Willkommen neuer Freund. Ihr Englisch ist gut genug für dieses Gesindel. A great many years ago I had to opportunity to study abroad in that city near you which was the birthplace of Mozart, Salzburg. I ordered my first kilt during the Christmas holidays while in Scotland that year. When completed, it caught up to me in Salzburg. So you are not the first kilt wearer that has been encountered in the Salzkammergut.

Welcome to the group from Ohio, USA. You will find a lot of good information about the kilt on this site. It is a learning process to discover your style and preferences.

I wear the kilt all the time. Yes, you will stand out as you will most likely be the only guy in a kilt. I have been wearing a kilt regularly for almost ten years. In that time I have meet a lot of interesting people. None of that would have happened without the kilt.
