Hey all,

This past weekend, I discovered that my family hails from the islands of Orkney; this goes a long way to understanding of my affinity for stout beer, swearing, pale women, and kilts.

Looking forward to jumping headlong into my newly-discovered heritage - but where does a guy start?

We need to organise a Kilt Night at Goat Hill Tavern!

Yes to kilts, stout beer, and pale women!! (I married one, a Costa Mesa native.)

(Goat Hill Tavern was summed up in a newspaper review as "a funky, stinky rathole that has the best selection of beer on tap in the County." Works for me!)

See you at the Highland Games held on Memorial Day weekend at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa??
