Terveiset From the freezing north
Hello everyone.
I am an outdoors guy from Finland. New on the forum but well accustomed to the kilt.
I got my first from Nova Scotia and got bitten by the bug. Now I have three from which the Orkney Slate is my all time favorite.
Glad to see there is such an active community and camaraderie amongst us kilt users.
I am used to the cold and harsh climates here in Finland so if anyone has any questions about wearing a kilt below freezing temperatures I will gladly help. Or try anyway.
It's not easy to acquire kilts or the accessories here so I will pay special attention to DIY projects and tips/hints on global trustworthy suppliers.
Anyway, thanks for letting me join in the forum and may you all have a great day (or night, depending where you are from)
Iiivari

A very warm welcome to XMARKS!!
Studies have shown that women who gain a few pounds live longer than men who mention it.

Well met Iiivari. Glad to have members with a variety of climates to offer our kilted family. Welcome from Mississippi, where we seldom have cold weather.

I seem to remember a "blizzard" in Mississippi in March quite a few years back. And snowy Christmases. Has it changed that much since I last lived there back at the turn of the century?
