Thank you from Spokane, WA
Thank you for accepting me into your forum. I am primarily of German descent ( which is to say Celtic...not Teutonic), and Irish (me grandmother was a Carey from County Cork), and English (with relatives invited to the Mayflower Society). My wife has Irish (Brennan) and Scottish (Voigt) but we haven't been able to find out much, her family have passed.
I am not new to Kilts, I have a Scottish National Tartan in wool and two Stumptown Kilts, the latest a lighter fabric with pinstripes.
I began wearing Kilts because, as you can see from my handle, I am an engraver, actually a jeweler, small business owner, with a niche in hand engraving and Celtic jewelry in Gold and Sterling. I have been vending at Highland Games for 20 years, so it made sense to wear the kilt, and I do so with enjoyment.
I look forward to getting acquainted with each of you, as time passes, and look forward to learning more about each of you and what you can teach me of the Scottish culture.
Thank you again, Will
