I guess I should expand a little. Traditional kilts are of little interest to me. I want comfort and I tend to walk my own path . I went with UT kilts because I didn't want to put a whole lot into a kilt to try Brice answered dozens of Questions over chat while it took me 3 days to get an answer from DNKE. I have worn it around doing chores today . I wore it to our Weds. service at church We had a guy from Creation museum bring his reptile presentation. I was herding kids and helping carry a 120 lb snake . Pockets are a must for me Belt loops too. I can see buying at least one more
I do have a modern left handed Sgian Dubh

Welcome from the other side of the Atlantic. I'm a Scotsman living in the English midlands.

I wore my kilt all day yesterday both out and about and working in the yard . I washed it laid it out flat to dry . No shrinkage so I'm good ,I wear the biggest size they stock. My faith and beliefs tell me to help any time I can I don't fit the average "Christian " look people that won't seek out clergy for help will talk to me a lot of times . I am 300 lbs 5'11" big beard dress in shorts tee shirt crocks wear a doo rag have tattoos . If I can talk too them I can figure out how we can help and support those that need it. I think a utility kilt will work in that too . That isn't ment to preach. If a garment that I like ,is comfortable also allows me to reach people others won't reach to help them it is icing on the cake

I think you have found one of the joys of wearing a kilt in public is that it makes you more approachable. I talked with a fellow at the USA Kilts 15th Anniversary party that works with non-profits helping with disputes between staff and volunteers. He says that wearing a kilt changes the dynamic in a good way, puts people in a curious state, and helps him to achieve his mission. Sounds like it is working for you as well.
