A Toscano Ciao
Hi folks, I’m a Scot, originally from Paisley, now living in Tuscany, with my wife Libby. We moved here last year to be near our daughter who is now planning a move back to Scotland, do you thing she is trying to get away from us?
I wear a Stevenson Tartan (my family name) kilt made to measure by Hector Russell in Glasgow that my family got me for my graduation from Glasgow School of Art.
I tend to wear it casually most of the time but do have a Harris Tweed and a grey tweed jacket and waistcoat, which I got to walk my daughter down the aisle.
I’m into the outdoors in a big way, flyfishing, walking, camping, bushcraft etc., and I’m a bit arts ‘n’ crafty.
Found the forum as I’m going to have a go at making a X-Kilt, need to get nore skills on the sawing machine first though.
The local motorbike club hear in the Arezzo area wear a Stewart kilt as their club uniform but accept me in my Stevenson.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and sharing my kilted experiences from Italy.
Ciao StJon

Welcome from the highlands of Central Massachusetts, New England, USA. It does sound like your daughter might be trying to lose you. I would move back to Scotland not too near her and if she moves away again then let her! No place better than Scotland.
