Tubas and Kilts in Arizona!
A tuba player friend of mine asked if I was part of this forum... now I am...
Anyway, I received an almost useless degree in Music from Alma College (my own choice and fault), but got used to wearing a kilt as part of the marching band.

I usually was stuck with the larger-than-large kilts, as I am tall... and was in the back of the band. I think I only had one year when the kilt actually fit properly.
Then I moved to Washington and found Utilikilts and have worn those for several years in a couple states.
Arizona

Michigan

Washington DC

I recently bought a more traditional kilt from Verillas that is a little more appropriate for the bank environment I work in. Need to find more non-solid-color options as cargo pockets are a big "no-no" at the job.

Old photo, I think that one is about a year old.
Have about 4-5 inches of beard right now.
Here's the most recent from almost four months ago:

Where in AZ do you live? Welcome from the East Valley. I hope you're going to the games next weekend.

Welcome to the forum! You certainly know how to toot your own horn!

Scottsdale. Don't know about the Highland games, I have mandatory overtime next weekend for work (usually rack up 60-70 hours in a week).
I might stop by... though I'm not a fan of bagpipes - one too many roommates in college played bagpipes.
