Unlurking to say Hello!
Hello there! I figured it was time to come out of lurking mode to introduce myself and say hello. Real name is Melissa, and I've recently convinced my husband to wear a kilt, much to my delight. We live in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas USA area.
We visited the Fox & Hound in July for the gift giving and party for SPC Boyd and got to meet a few of you (ColMac & Peacekeeper that I remember, and we saw Merlin but didn't have a chance to introduce ourselves. Others I'm afraid to say I've forgotten your names). My husband (Bob) was the one in the "can't miss this" red polo shirt. He's lurking here somewhere too!
Last night we went to a retirement party where there was a bagpiper, so of course he wore his kilt and was quite a hit.
He's the proud owner of 1 US Navy Tartan from Rocky @ USA Kilts, and we're already contemplating the next one. We don't have a drop of Scottish blood in our ancestry, though there may be some Irish hiding there. I'm just a sucker for a man in a kilt, what can I say?
We've found this site to be most informative, helpful, and full of wonderful people.
Anyway, hi!
Melissa
