US Air Force "Scott"
Dave here from Denver, Colorado. US Air Force retired, and close to retiring again from federal service. Might sound strange, English and Italian by heritage, started wearing a utili-kilt last year at the local Scottish Festival and I love it. I have been putting together a more traditional outfit but not being a Scott I didn't know what was acceptable (I'm a bit fanatical about being correct, you should see my renaissance costumes). Found this web site during a net search - best place for advice! How and what to wear has been the most helpful. Chose the Air Force tartan (Lady Jane of St Citrus) since it seems the most appropriate, I know it will look great (the wait is killing me).

Well met Dave. Until the kilt comes, think of it as a training exercise of "Hurry up and wait". Look to the tartan designs of areas (example; Isle of Skye) when thinking of a future kilt. Glad to have you with us.

Another Air Force vet wearing the kilt
Hi dave, I am also retired Air Force and wearing the same Tartan as I have no clear Scottish link in my past. I think the tartan looks great, and I am proud to wear it. Welcome
Bill
