Hi Jena,
It is a pleasure to meet you. I am very happy you have shared your thoughts with us. I sincerely hope you can entice Eric to join in as well.
I also hope you spend some time going through the forum and finding out more about those of us that frequent Xmarks. You'll find quite a diverse contingent of men and women from around the world that understand and truly appreciate the Highland dress.
I for one appreciate Eric, his sacrifice and more than anything his unwavering courage. He must make his parents proud. Eric could have run out to the car and grabbed his bifurcated garment to satisfy the ruling establishment. But he did not. Instead, he stood his ground knowing his heritage was more important than imposed and unenlightened rules.
Please let Eric know he is not alone.
Best Regards,
Ambrose Woodfellow

Hello Jena. It's nice of you to join us. It shows that you really do care about the issue. Personally, I'd encourage Eric to continue to wear his kilt, and don't be discouraged. He's stood his ground, and now we all just need to see what unfolds.
Please feel free to ask any questions. Many of the members here have been wearing kilts for years. You've come to a great place.

Jena,
I'd like to extend my welcome as well, and I'd also encourage Eric to join our group here.
I'm sorry you kids had your prom ruined. Don't let the townfolks get you down. Just remember if you keep your mind too open, your brains fall out. Apparently some of your fellow townsmen are suffering that problme.
Stand firm. It will all work out eventually.

I too would like to extend my welcome Jena. It's a shame that short sightedness ruined what could of been a great night for you and Eric. Keep yoiur chins up and don't let the buggers get the two of you down.

Jena,
WELCOME.
You two have both dignity and pride working on your side. It is not easy at times to stand up for what is right. To be active in getting things done is not easy and is very hard work. It is a shame that those that are trying to demean both you and Eric are themselves immature, and by what you two did shows more maturity than they have.
I know that this is rather trite in what I am going to say, but stand tall and be tough, and do not back down! You have the support of many kilted men and ladies of this board to aid you.
Please let us know what we can do throughout the world to show you our support from this little town in cyberspace.

I would like to welcome you as well Jana. Remember Scots, and Celts in general have a long of history of fighting. Not sure the school knows what they got themselves into.
You are both in good company and continuing a proud tradition. Fighting for your beliefs, customs and convictions. This lesson could prove to be one of the most valuable in your high school career. Stand tall and you have several "Clan" members at the ready.
