Well, I suppose I should introduce myself...
Greetings to all! Father Bill already kindly welcomed me to the Great Rabble, so I suppose this thread is a bit belated, but what the heck.
I'm a native Texan going to school in Arizona who unfortunately owns nothing but common pants at the moment (well, and bombachas de campo). No Scottish ancestry within my recent history, though if I go back far enough (try a thousand years) it seems to pop up. I know, I know--the kilt doesn't discriminate anyway. ;)
I actually registered here a couple of years ago and was counselled to start off simple, with a SWK Thrifty--frankly about the only thing possibly within my college-student budget at the moment, especially considering the necessity of buying sporran, hose, etc.
Anyway, thanks for being here and for this community! When and if I have questions I will be sure to consult.

Re: Well, I suppose I should introduce myself...
Welcome aboard - but be warned, after the first kilt you may find your need for all things kiltie grows into an addiction quite quickly-
I started out with one kilt and #4 (a full custom weave) should be arriving today, started out with one sporran and now I make & sell them. Less said about kilt hose the better.
