What have I done?!?!?!?
Well, I'm not sure where to begin. Two friends and I decided to volunteer at the local (Dayton, OH) Celtic Festival this year. After some discussion, we thought it would be appropriate to (ahem) dress appropriately !
After lurking here for a while, I sat down with my wife last night and ordered my very first kilt from SWK. Great fun!
Now today my mind starts to work against me.....My pasty white legs, what will people say, and possibly the big question - regimental or not.
I would have never thought myself a shy person, but despite the encouragement I am receiving at home (honey, you'll look great) perhaps I made a mistake?
A little encouragement would be appreciated.
By the way, this is a GREAT site.

Welcome to the rabble! Once you strap on the kilt, all other questions will answer themselves. And the biggest cure for pasty white legs is a good pair of colored socks!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Well... according to the latest study done by the Lecherous Kilt Hunters Of America (a fictional organization), the popular choice among most women is for you to go without anything beneath except for the stunning kilt hose (ok and the shoes.... we're not heartless)....of course. *wicked grins*
And without further ado....

You'll be fine, and this comes from someone who has worked the Dayton festival a few times.

Well welcome from Medina, OH!
And socks are the obvious answer for your leg problem, but just look in the mirror and determine for yourself the best solution. Maybe you will look good without the socks... O_O

Remind me when the festival is again?
Thanks,
Rex.
At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum. My opinion on the leg issue, wear a kilt and the white legs will gradually tan up nice.
Long time ago I would ONLY wear pants. Well when I started wearing shorts, my legs were white as sheets. I didn't care what others thought at the time so I went in shorts anyway. A few weeks later they were nice and tan. No worries.
Of course, some good socks might help. Some people would use a fake tan but I hate those things.
