FS: 8-yard 16+ oz Stewart of Fingask tartan; 39.5W, 45H, 25L; $230 USD
SOLD!!!
I have an 8-yard heavyweight kilt for sale. Weight is at least 16-oz, likely more, as this is a regimental kilt (48th Highlanders of Canada). It feels (and is) really heavy... Not sure who has woven the fabric.
There are 3 leather straps, and the kilt is pleated to the sett.
The kilt was made by Burnett’s & Struth (Barrie, Ontario) in 2010. It is in excellent condition and was worn only a few times. It comes from a smoke and pet free home.
Waist is 39.5 inches, seat is 45 inches and overall length is 25 inches (22.5 + 2.5).
Please note that, although waist size is the same as the Kiernan I have for sale, this kilt feels as though it were a bit smaller, perhaps 38.75 or 39...
I am asking $290 CDN or 230 USD for this kilt, shipping extra but at cost.

Thanks for looking!

39.5" at what hole in the buckles? Tightest or loosest?
Thanks.

Stewart of Fingask kilt
Hi, and thanks for your interest in the kilt.
The measurements provided are the "official ones" shown on the tag sewn inside the kilt, so to answer your question, from the tightest hole. This kilt was individually tailored to the measurements indicated in the ad.
Best regards,
Alain

It's looks to be a lovely kilt, but in a spirit of self-abnegation I've decided to limit myself to only one more kilt, and it's going to be an 8-yard Crawford Modern.
So whatever priority I might have had in the queue, I relinquish to the next lucky person.
Thanks very much for your time.
