This is a new-old-stock 1940s-50s vintage brown leather (I believe hogskin) sporran that is unworn, and comes complete with its original matching chain-strap.
The sporran has an unusually-shaped raised panel on the flap, and the strap mounting panel incorporates a form of stiffening or reinforcing that can be seen in the pictures. The interior is coated with a smooth ivory-colour dressing, and it has retained its new-leather aroma.
The chain-strap is made using with a flattened curb-chain, so that it lies flat, and the attachment clips are the smart watch-chain style.
Decoration is simple blind-tooling, and has been expertly made using superior materials.
