Unfortunately 7" too small for me but someone is going to look rather dapper in that set up.

I must say, that houndstooth would be a point of envy in my parts

40R is sort-of close to my size (I'm on the border between short and regular), but it's difficult to be sure from such generic sizing nomenclature.
Would you mind taking measurements and posting them? This is very helpful for people considering this jacket. Actual chest size, shoulder-to-shoulder measurement, sleeve length, and overall length from the back of the collar are good measurements to go by.

Actual chest size 20” across the front, lying flat
shoulder-to-shoulder measurement across back 16”
sleeve length from armpit to cuff- 17.5”
sleeve from top of shoulder to cuff - 25”
overall length from the back of the collar - 25”
Here it is being worn. I am 6’0” and about 195#

I really like the cut of this jacket and waist coat. I'm just not quite sure about the fit of a size 40 jacket right now. I need to go try on a few jackets and see what fits me best. I'm 5'8" and 170 lbs. I can usually go with a 38 , but a 40 can sometimes run a bit large. Let me go check my closet and run by a local men's clothier for a bit of advice and I will get back to you.
The photos of you wearing the set just reek of a public school setting. I'm a teacher, and the background just looks so familiar.
I know that this thread is a bit stale, so let me know if you are still selling these items.

I checked today, and a 40 R will fit. A slim cut 40 actually works, but 40 R will be fine. Please give me a shout.

Looks like I am giving up on this nice waistcoat and jacket. I'm not receiving any response from the poster. Time to start browsing on Ebay to see what is available in size 40R waistcoats and jackets. I really like the Wallace style jackets in tweed fabrics or wool.
