Finally got a photo taken
Finally got around to taking a photo. This is with my USAK casual in Ireland's National. Coldest day of the season so far, hence the sleeves and fleece vest. Have made a few trips out to the store, gas station and dog walking. The wife even came a long on a couple of them. She's taking baby steps. Once she's fully acclimated I plan on at least a few more kilts.
Regards,
Don

The next question Don is, "how do you feel about headgear?" Colder days seem to pass by easier with a hat when the kilt becomes a natural choice below the waist. I see you've got good footwear also. Positive baby steps for sure.

Have you considered a sporran? It's a great place to keep your wallet, keys, and other stuff. Anyway, now that you have your kilt, wear it proudly.

Tarheel,
. Having been shaving my head for the last 8 years I'm all about headgear. I tend to lean toward knit caps in the cold weather.

MacEanuig,
I have a basic black day Sporran that I picked up with a Douglas tartan traditional kilt from American Highlander in PA. However, since I was at home and wearing a fleece vest with pockets, I didn't really need the sporran. I wear it when I go out though. Looking for a good quality brown one without breaking the bank.

Don

Finistere,
. Thanks. That's the biggest hang up at this point. She's trying. She's actually afraid of hearing strangers say stuff behind my back. Obviously, if I was concerned I wouldn't be wearing a kilt. Just something that she needs to work through and that will come with time and exposure. Thanks for the support.
. Don
