Do you have a link? Searching on name didn't find anything.

I find nothing on eBay under "GrodyGoose." Perhaps if you offered a way for people to actually LOOK at the item, they might come up with answers for you.

If a Utilikilt is a "kilt," then so are those.

I wouldn't wear one, but it's entirely up to whoever would.

Just rec'd my grodygoose desert camo "kilt" yesterday. I think I rather like it...very loose and unconstructed feeling. The pleats will take constant attention and some serious starching (because its basically BDU cotton and very soft)or I'll have to sew them in. But I'm going to like this "kilt" for "ultra-casual" wear. And it should look good with my Polish army belt and brown buzzkidder country sporran. The kilt DID smell a bit "funny"--old cigarettes and patchouli oil reminding me of the last Renaissance Fair I was forced to attend...

If your going to wear it for VERY casual or for a "knock around", grunge kilt, I wouldn't worry about sewing down the pleats. That's part of the feel and look of old BDU's, sort of like my old, salty cammies that I cut into shorts with the loose threads fraying out all over the place. And at that price point, decent deal.

I don't however like the cargo pockets on the front of the thigh. That would drive me nuts if I actually had anything in them.

Enjoy the kilt and Welcome to the neighborhood

By the way, how was their delivery time and service?

Gradientslew, thanks for the review. I'd have been nervous purchasing from them, as I distrust sellers that can only be contacted through a free e-mail account. Their shirt prices look very reasonable, but they need better pictures of the kilts.

    Best regards,

    Jake

I was a little nervous, too, but their service was very good and the order arrived within the week. (And, Unlike UK, my order from grodygoose was actually correct!--laughing...) They sent extra buttons, which is nice and some random military patches, as well. All in all, a good purchase. I agree with Cavscout, I don't think the front pockets are much use but they look okay. Also, this "kilt" does not have a full front apron, but rather it buttons up the front, so it IS a little odd in that respect. When I get a chance I'll post some pictures--maybe after the weekend.
