    Info on UK Spartan Please

Thought we had a thread about this on the old format but I can't get back there.

Read some stuff in the UK newsletter and on the UK board but still wondering what this new "boxing short" type kilt is like. Anyone have one yet and have feedback.

If I recall, its made out of birdseye nylon like football jerseys...don't know if it has pockets or belt loops.

Just see two colors on the UK newsletter, red and green.

Any intelligence appreciated. Its HOT down here in the canyonlands and that might be a great deal for summer here.

    Thanks,

    Well duh Ron...

As I hit the enter button on this post it occured to me I could call UK HQ.

Did, talked to Ben. He says the Spartan is almost sold out but there's another batch on the way.

The new batch will have Mocker style pockets as well as a back pocket (or two...forgot).

The material is nylon, sounds like that birds eye nylon...saw on the UK board that there's a loincloth type flap in the front...why not the back...will our backsides be visible?

    Waist is elastic...sizing is different...the old S, M, L, XL

    Cost is $95

Ben said they'd announce the availability of the next batch.

Colors are maroon, green, and black.

Any additional info or reviews appreciated.

    Silly me

    Sure do...how'd you do that?

Figured (wrong of course) that it'd be under contemporary kilts...

Been away...figured it best just to walk away from this new format for a while and let things settle down, take a deep breath. I hate learning curves.

Somewhere there my Avitar came back...had been turned down for being too big when it wasn't. Maybe Hank did some charity work.

Anyhow. I'm now lined up for the new batch of Spartans with the mocker style pockets added.

Still wondering if the plumber's crack shows through the back side...silly indecent exposure laws and all...

    ?

The Spartan looks interesting, but the website pictures lack something. It appears to be pretty close to the edge of just plain "skirt". I think the puckerd hem doesn't help it at all (and neither do the racing stripes). but I'm thinking the material contributes to that since UK workmanship is near legendary. I would really like to know if it is NFL jersey type material or something closer to that used in the Macabiskirt.
