More kilts on the way
I have been reliably informed by messrs Rocky and Kelly from USA Kilts that two very fine male unbifurcated garments are in the hands of the US postal service.
One is a Gunn Philabeg plus another philabeg for my eldest son.
I'm excited, but more so my son, it being his first kilt.
You know that piccies and review will quickly follow their arrival.
Well done Rocky and Kelly!

Just be glad when they are out of "The hands of the US postal service"

The wife says I can get a kilt from Rocky when we get the tax refund next year. I can hardly wait. Man, I hate these damned medical bills. They eat up kilt money fast!

I split the medical bill talk into a new subject in Off-Topic. It was hijacking this thread.

Me too Graham...came home to three package pick up notices at the post office Sunday...expecting 2 from Freedom Kilts, 2 from Pittsburgh kilts, three from AK, and maybe...just maybe....the black leather UK...
Went to the Post office today with wild anticipation...probably even drooling a bit...and the place was like a tomb...closed to celebrate the first European invasion of the western world (with apologies to those of Viking blood).
Cruel to have to wait one more night to see what I got!! Driving up to the post office I already had opened the package, donned the new kilt, and gone for a break in hike to Horseshoe Bend....
So....one more day....

sorry. my fault, getting off the topic again. I'm worse when I'm preaching, I go all over the place
David, that will make 7 kilts for me. I had better not buy any more this year.
Riverkilt, what a bummer having to wait, what was the holiday for? Viking invasion?

The formal name in the U.S. is Columbus Day...not a big holiday here in Navajoland...but the Post Office does close for it.
Bright side, is I turn 60 tomorrow, so at least will have some "gifts" waiting.
I am seriously addicted...got my first UK in August, when everything I've ordered shows up I'll have 15 kilts. Six UK (including the black leather), Four AmeriKilts, Two Pittsburgh Kilts, two Freedom Kilts, and a Sportkilt...my only tartan so far in my Macdonald clan.
Looking at Macdonald Lord of the Isles tartan for the next tartan...just living out here in the sand and dust of the canyonlands don't know when, where, I'd wear it. The non-traditionals fit better for me due to the lighter weight and casual look.
Six of the kilts are camos...the UK, the AK tiger stripe, The Pittsburgh forest marpat and desert marpat, and the Freedom Cadpat and desert camo. I really like them for the look when hiking the canyonlands or up in the nearby forests.
I just signed up with the Northern Arizona Celtic Society - the folks that make the Kilts Up! calendar (see things for sale forum) so who knows, maybe they'll have something down in Flagstaff to dress up in a tartan for.
I have a lot to choose from, family line is Macdonalds, Fletchers, Gordons, Camerons, Scotts etc.
Worse part of the addiction has been buying accessories...so far two pair of boots, lots of knee sox, belts, a jacket...even that short sash from Sportkilt...
Probably should take a break and let my plastic recover...hoping the leather kilt will stop this addiction for a while when it arrives...
My agency isn't ready for me in kilts yet ( I'm a therapist - would probably be distracting to the clients), but I've already committed to only wearing kilts when I'm off the job. Loving it so far.

Happy birthday, and welcome to the sixth decade. I'm 61 now.

Columbus Day is pretty much a Govt holiday. Nobody gets it off except Govt employees. Lots of holidays for those folks, but damned few for the rest of us.
