    My first Alt.Kilt

Got the message my new kilt will be delivered next week. It was a 9 week wait and I hope it is worth it. Am a non traditionalist wearer of Utilikilts so that is my point of comparison for the Alt.Kilt.
Any of you longtime Kilters have any comments, pro or con on the two products?

    You'll Love It

I have 2 Alt.Kilt classics from Jeanie. They are great kilts. Mine are the heavy weight twill which holds up well and requires little maintenance. I climbed the Great Wall in China in one. One beauty in them is no 2 are exactly alike, I am sure in discussion you had certain requests or customizations. Jeanie also takes a lot of pride in her work and really puts herself into her kilts. I will anxiously await your pics.

As far as UKs, I have an original and I much prefer my altkilt and believe it is a much better value, plus it is custom fit and designed.

    Doc,

I do apologize for the delay on your order - mainly, it is the customization with the hidden back pocket that has caused the problem. It isn't something that I have put on any other kilt that I have made so far so I needed to make sure I could do it justice. Technically, the hidden jean cut pockets are pretty new for me too (only put them on two other kilts) and so my process is not as swift as my standard options.

Always more than happy to make a customer exactly what he wants - and I hate sending out delayed kilts. I do hope you enjoy it.

    Jeanie,
I hope my messages were only taken as expressions of excitement and anticipation. That was the intent. Thank you for taking the time to do something special for me and taking the time to do it right by no other standards than your own. That is a rare thing today and is most definitely noted and appreciated. Good things take time. No apologies needed.
I appreciate your taking the time to respond. Am just more anxious now! Will be the highlight of the week when the kilt arrives. Now that you have it down pat, will have to place another order soon to keep your newly refined skills at their peak!
Thanks again for your time and efforts.
    Pete

Looking forward to your review Doc. I'm considering one after losing those last few pounds.
