New belt and buckle combo, what do you think?

Just got my new belt and buckle combo made by a local crafts person. What do you think?

The Celtic Knot is decorative, the real buckle is in the back.

Really unique metal work. I like the way the back buckle gives one the ability to adjust the size.

Well, I can honestly say it's unique! I've never seen anything like it before.

Do you think the buckle in the back will be uncomfortable when sitting?

In six hours of running around this weekend the back buckle presented no problems, in and out of cars, shopping etc. If it were a problem one could easily engineer a side buckle system. The goal was to have a nice belt/buckle that stayed away from the waist plate style of set up. The local crafts person is in Pueblo, Colorado at D&W Leather [no website that I know of]. The buckle set is from Tandy and is their 1.5" Celtic Knot buckle. The belt is 3" necking down to 2" with a roller buckle in the rear. I am liking this belt so much that I'm thinking of having her re-do my brown belt the same way. This set up works for me as it is clean, simple, but elegant. I wear my sporran from my kilt belt [being a phat guy...lol] and needed a sharp way to do it. I think this qualifies, at least for me. Thank you for the kind replies.

Edit: BTW, the whole deal cost less than $70 US...which I think was super for a totally custom job.

Love it. I do like 3" belts so much more in proportion for us Gentlemen of Substence. I want one and I want one now.

Nice! Different. Looks western inspired to my eye at least. Not that I know 'owt.

I wish I had seen this post a few days ago "Lady of Substence" would have been a way cooler screen name ;-)

Great looking belt! And the shirt gave me a chuckle, well done on both counts!
