    Saffron Bear Kilts!

I am happy to announce that Bear Kilts is introducing a Saffron coloured poly/viscose Bear Kilt.
The fabric is being made by our England weaver. It is the same great quality poly/viscose as our clan tartans, with the teflon coating.

We will be getting the fabric in July, so ordering now is advised.

I've been trying to decide on Saffron or the Irish National tartan. I have learned the Irish National tartan is copyright protected, so I ordered the saffron.

Bit of a shame that the Irish National tartan is copyright protected, I like that tartan, does that mean that only certain mills can produce it or that only certain kiltmakers can buy it?

    Bear,

I like Graham am somewhat bummed about the Irish National, I was hoping, but with the legalities I understand why. Saffron is nice, maybe something to think about, I know that the quality will be unbeatable.

I was looking forward to a kilt in the Irish National tartan, as well.
I think it is a mill that owns the copyright and it must be bought from them. I'm very happy with the mill I buy from now. They are less expensive and open to new ideas.

Sounds great, Bear! Being Irish I might be talked in to buying an Irish kilt.

Would there be any chance that you could order the "County Antrim" tartan from your supplier? That's the county my ancestors were from.

    Sorry Al,
I have to order a minimum of 200 metres to do a special order in poly/viscose.

    Bear,

When will you be posting a sample of the saffron on your site?
