Thanks Jeff!
I am so pleased with my new kilt, I feel the need to make it public.
I got a Pittsburgh lined kilt (Desert Marpat with a chamois lining). Jeff got it together for me (in time for Christmas) and searched for the right lining. The workmanship is superb. I love the kilt and I love the service.
Thanks Jeff.
Merry Christmas all.
Yes...I'll post some pictures soon.

Amen brother!
It's one thing to have such well-made kilts, but the guy's all class on top of that! I admire anyone who can properly advertise the kilts, back them up with quality, and bend-over backwards to be sure that you're getting exactly what you want. Quality all around!
I hope the new year finds Jeff getting the attention, sales and reputation that he so richly deserves.

Aw, Atticus is too nice! The truth is I put off his kilt long enough to squeeze in a couple of those "I have to get this by Christmas!" orders. Then I had to hurry up and make it up to him.
I did find a nice brown chamois for the lining, though! Tough to match up that Desert MARPAT with anything.
A Blessed Yule to all of you,

Thats awsome, Grats.
I have a set of issued Marpat trousers i wear out in the yard and stuff working.
Does your kilt have little eagle globe and anchors hidden in the pattern ?

The Desert Marpat is not the official material (I think) but the Forest Marpat that Jeff has at Pittsburgh kilts is the real Stuff (Again, I think). Check the website or maybe Jeff can chime in.

I have both the Desert MARPAT and the Forest MARPAT from Pittsburgh Kilts. I love them both, they're great, and the camo pattern fits well with what bit of vegitation there is about the canyonlands.
But alas, if there's a tiny eagle globe and anchor on either its too tiny for me to locate.
Certainly doesn't detract from two great kilts though.

As Atticus reported--the Forest MARPAT does have the globe & eagle. It's very small, maybe 1/2 inch square. Ron, I'm sure there is one on the apron of your kilt somewhere. I always try to find one before I sew the apron (figuring that, down the road, some people may want to be able to show it off to someone). Get out the magnifying glass!

Sorry Jeff,
I've fine tooth combed the entire kilt, inside and outside, sporran inside and outside and my Forest MARPAT just shows no sign of the EGA imprint.
Here's what I'm looking for (lower left pic), can't seem to find it or anything similar.

Most of the stuff I've read on the net is that it is very hard to get the EGA imprint for civilian use.
I'll keep looking...

Okay...Found Two!!....so far.
Not an easy task...this is a camouflage. Further complicated by the fact that the EGA doesn't show detail well because of the fabric its printed on and the ink color is like a half tone of the other green when its overprinted on tan. A fine camouflage for sure.
Found the first EGA upside down on the waist under where the belt goes. Then found the second in nearly the very center of the front apron...right under my snoz....
Looking during the day in sunlight helped too...
