Trinity Kilits, winter kilt
I was surprised to see that a company I hadn't heard of until just ht other day, "Trinity Kilts" is offering a winter kilt with a flannel lining.

I'm not just wild about their rivet placement, but the rest of the kilt looks pretty good to me. The flannel lining, now...that's the schiznit.

I've not heard of them either. That doesn't mean much though as I have limited radar. I would say that the website needs a little TLC - especially some of the pictures. Although, they seem to be aware of this as it's noted on one of the pages.
The proof is in the pudding as they say - if the company makes a decent product at a fair price and has good customer service, then I wish them well!
It is an interesting idea, especially for those who prefer the modern take (non-wool, non-tartan) on the kilt. Makes perfect sense to have a flannel lining as cotton twill and canvas are not terribly warm. Also like that the lining is removable. I agree, don't care for the buttons (placement or size,) but there are other styles of buttons to choose from.

Pittsburgh kilts used to do this, several years ago before Jeff went back to IT work. It's a good idea, I think.
Yeah, the website needs a little help.

OH OH!! I like those!! I may have to get me one! I was thinking of getting a black wool shadow tartan from Stillwater, but I may have to get one of these instead! Thanks for the heads up!

Re: Trinity Kilits, winter kilt
I had a quick look at the site and what shocked me was the sizing page.
It says to take a measurement of your hips and then goes on to say that this is a bit HIGHER than most pants waistlines and shows someone measuring their kilt waist?????

But maybe people are wearing their pants lower than their hips these days? What a concept!

Re: Trinity Kilits, winter kilt
Maybe it’s their pictures or the models shape but those kilts seem to have too much hip flare for me.

Re: Trinity Kilits, winter kilt
Thanks for the heads up guys, the website does indeed need some TLC and we are taking care of it as the weeks go by. Indeed though, the model has some hips to him, and we are working on newer pictures for the public. We have quite a good collection but always insist on our customers permission to plaster them on the wall, so to speak.

Re: Trinity Kilits, winter kilt
I had some questions about the kilts, and Lyndsey got back to me quickly. She said that she hand makes all the kilts - pretty impressive for the price!
If I pull the trigger I'll post a review.
