    Utilikilt New Styling

I stopped into the Utilikilt store this weekend and found that they have started to stock their updated style of the Workman Utilikilt. A friend of mine purchased a tan and brown two tone, (that's him in the blue shirt)
    .

Along with the two tone look Utilikilt has added Velcro and lacing at the back to allow you adjust the waist without changing the look of the apron on the front.

I was going to get one in a black and brown two tone but they don't have the longer sizes in stock yet. I had to wear it a lower on my hips than I like for the picture so I chose to wait until they have my size in stock. It was a temptation to have the latest style to wear to the festival at the Seattle Center yesterday but I was good and resisted.

The pictures didn't come through, but I'm curious about the style you're describing.

    Uploaded as thumbnails.

Previous post edited, hopefully the pictures show up now. If not I may need some additional guidance.

I saw an announcement somewhere about their new adjustable waist design and I've been really curious about how it was going to work. This is something I never would have thought of, and I have to admit I think it's pretty cool. I bet those things are super complicated to sew too.

Part of me wants to take one apart just to see how they put it all together. I ordered one yesterday, black/brown. Don't think it will be done in time for the Highland Games in Seattle, maybe next year. Of course by then I may have bought several more kilts too.

I got the email from UK regarding the new style. I kind of like the lace-up back for flexibility in sizing but really didn't care for the two-tone look.

Some of the color combinations are not my style, but the black and chocolate brown have just enough variation that I like them. It's my understanding that they will be doing solid colors along with the two tone. Looking forward to seeing the other styles beyond the workman with the new switchback added to them.

I met a gent with an all black lace style utilikilt at the nj renn faire. I must admit i disliked the new style before seeing it in person. It looked much less "corset " like than i expected.

Not crazy about the look of the laces. Maybe if I saw it in person, but based on the photo I don't care for it.

The corset look of the switchback is what turned me off. I am glad to hear that it is not so much like that in real life.
