Cool wasnt sure where to put this .... but

received my new casual Ferguson Modern kilt , navy hose and red flashes from USA Kilts today ... admittedly I'm not the most photogenic sort .
Everything seems to fit well and it arrived in plenty of time for a few test drives in the heat here in Illinois before I goto the heat in California

I think the navy hose are a bit too dark ... but they may grow on me
House of Cheviat hose should be here end of next week

Very nice and relaxed looking, I do like the polo/golf shirt with a kilt when the temps climb above 80F.

I'm quite partial to the more casual style of dress. Looking good!

Looks good. Personally I don't wear flashes or a formal kilt belt when casually (polo shirt) dressed. I did put on a formal belt for the Clan Derby event, because it seemed from their Facebook page that that was part of their look, but drew the line at boots and scrunched up socks on a warm (in UK terms) day.
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!

    Sir,

I have ordered a Ferguson modern kilt too (distant ancestor) - it should arrive in the next 6-8 weeks. I have not seen one worn as yet. In my tie, the red shows up more, as it takes up a higher proportion of the tie than it does on the area of a kilt apron. It looks good! Mine is being made in Brisbane Australia out of 16Oz Lochcarron.
