website
I just had a look at the workmans kilt on their website (I was only looking - OK??).
I must say that I'm impressed with the website, VERY well laid out and gives all the info a human could want.
Well done lads!

Uh-oh Graham. I think you're turning into the antithesis of Rhino. He finally orders a tartan, and you're considering a plain. (Admit it, you are... )
Utilikilts does have a really nice web site. Very impressive.

The kilts are really worth a look too Graham. I have a caramel Workman's that's nothing short of incredible! It's built like a tank, and gets better with every washing. There's also no need to wear a sporran since there's enough pockets and storage space to go on vacation!
Their site IS quite expansive, ain't it?!

You need at least one.
I got the Workmans, but the mocker is pretty cool, if it only had some more pockets.
thanx...Ded N. Buried

I don't own a Utiliklt (not a huge fan),but would consider a Survival kilt for camping and other outdoor activities. A little too much for my budget right now.

They are the forth-best of the solids. Thinner, no depth, but definately affordable. Only in my opinion... it's worth spending the little extra to get a "real" UtiliKilt. Also, take a look at the Buzz Kidder Originals.
YES, I'm a tartan kilt kind of guy, but the UtiliKilt is something different and very comfortable!

well Rufus, at least it shows I'm not TOO set in my ways
At $185 I can get a nice Bear or USAkilt, but I admit they seem practical, but to move away from tartan is to move a wee bit closer to looking sk@#%y, I wish to avoid that like the Black Plague.
But for work, they are the ticket.Do they have kilts with multi-coloured paint splotches for signwriters?

Graham,
I got my Workman's on a lark an expensive lark, and with all the places to put your hammer, tape measure, etc. it is a big hit with everyone especially if you have a hammer, tape measure etc. attached.
I do encourage you to get one, but it is entirely up to you.

Graham, Utilikilts used to produce a "Painter's" model, not unlike the Workman's but with different types of loops, whistles and bells to hold the tools of The Trade! Why it was discontinued I do not know ...... perhaps there aren't as many painters about as there are workmen!
Believe me: no kilt wearer's wardrobe is complete without at least one Utilikilt - I've nine of them and wear one most days.
Take care,
