What's your favorite sporran?
I know there are many styles of sporrans and some different variations of each style. Cantles, fur, leather, tassles, no tassles, horsehair, drop-pin closure, snap closer, zippers, etc etc etc etc.
From lots of thought, I got curious about the different tastes people had in sporrans. Maybe they can share ideas I've never even heard of. I figured, why not ask people what is their favorite sporran to wear with their kilt?
So, what is YOUR favorite sporran to wear with your kilt? Pictures are encouraged and will be greatly appreciated.

It's GOING to be my fur sporran that Artificer is going to make for me.
For now, it is Jerry's Nightstalker in brown leather. Just way too convenient, even if it is non-traditional.

The one on the far right... it was a sporran purse that I cut the purse strap off, and sewed a belt loop onto the back.

It's very roomy, it's much larger than traditional "flap" or MOD sporrans, and since I'm a big lad, it's very proportionate to my size...

I've taken up sporran crafting and I've made a few... this one for some reason is my "go-to" sporran.

I don't like having to hold a flap out of the way with one hand while I root around in the sporran with my other hand.
With that engineering piece out of the way, I think my collection will be complete with one brown leather day wear sporran, one black leather day wear sporran, and one hair sporran with a silver metal colored cantle for formal wear.
I coulda maybe got away with just brown leather daywear and fur on for formal, but my brown leather day wear sporran is pretty darn casual. It's this one:

I don't have a favorite. I only have 2--a formal and a day. I wish my day sporran was a wee bit larger and had a less cumbersome snap to hold it closed. Although, it's large enough for what I put in it and it gets the job done. As for the dress sporran, it is what it is. I like it, but wouldn't wear it for "everyday" wear.
I do like some of the hunting sporrans that I have seen. If I could find the right one, I'm sure that would be my favorite. Sadly, my financial status precludes the random purchasing of expensive items that will rarely (if ever) be worn enough to justify the cost.

My absolute favourite sporran is this plain, rather cheap leather sporran.
When I received it it had three tassels. But as I couldn't stand the drumming sound when I walked I cut them off.

I did the same thing to my cheap tassel sporran. It really is much better!

I rather like the simplicity of the sporran...never thought to cut off the tassles. Hmmm

My favourite is my Thorfinn Custom Sporran. It's got a lot of room and I think it looks pretty classy too.

I agree with Calico.

I have just acquired one and I am soooooo impressed. The leather is butter soft. It is like the Tardis - it holds more than is really possible and best of all the build quality is superb!
