Business Cards
Has anyone made up a generic business card for passing out? Our local SAMS post will be marching in the St. Patricks Day parade. I feel confident we will get multiple queries on where to buy a kilt. Even though I made my first kilt myself, I have grown to like the supporting makers on this site. Is there a template generic card listing everybody or an XMarks card that I can print out for distribution? Even though I do not yet own a commercially made kilt, I do want to send business your way.

You could print some of these on peel-n-stick labels and have a handful to pass out:

Or, I'll bet Hank wouldn't mind if you modifiet the sticker to make a card that could be printed out on some of the Avery or Geographics business card blanks.

I did have a flier printed out for people with all the kiltmakers from this board, I haven't passed it out in awhile, but the idea of business cards is a good one!

In some ways I would rather send people here first. I prefer that people get educated about something this important. So, an Xmarks card would be the better idea. But, I would not want to infringe on Hanks copyright.
I have already refered several people to Barbera for her book.

The sticker, which includes the X Marks URL, was posted for free use and distribution.
Ask Hank if you can use it as basis for a business card. Other than asking you to share, I doubt if he will object.

I have made up generic cards, highlighting a few of the local kiltmakers (Bear, Freedom Kilt, Canada Kilt), Kiltsnights, and added a few forums (Xmarks, Kiltmen).

I'm unable to import an image, lack of computer savvy, but I dummied up a possible XMarks card.
It consists of the XMarks sticker logo on the left side of the card and on the right side:
Your one stop
connection to all
things about kilts:
Advice
Opinions
How-To
How-Not-To
Links to Kiltmakers
Fellowship
It would be easy to print a list of Kiltmaker links on the back if you wished.
I will try to e-mail a copy to Hank for his approval.

Please do forward your ideas to Hank. He responded to my PM query to send him my idea in a word doc. If you already have something, it will save me from reinventing the wheel.

I e-mailed Hank the proto-type I made, and he OK'd it.
If he doesn't post it on the X-Marks Market Propaganda page in a few days, PM me with your e-mail address and I will e-mail you what I have.
