Poly-viscoes by the yard
Anyone know where to get it? I've looked and looked, and can't find anyone who sells pv tartan by the yard.

Ask and you shall receive.
It's the 11 oz. Balmoral line. Just a heads up, they don't offer the Henderson tartan. Nobody keeps the Henderson tartan in PV.

Sport kilt carries henderson ancient in pv, but I figured it would be improper to ask where they get it from. But still, Gunn or Blackwatch will work just fine. Thanks cousin.
Oh hey, are you signed up as a registered member of clan henderson? My dad sent in the app a few weeks ago, and we're pretty eager to hear back from them.

Sport Kilt ISN'T PV, it's something else.
(Acrylic, I think-> can't rememder)

It says right on their front page that they use poly/viscos.

I was under the impression that Sportkilt used a polyester cotton blend and not the same polyviscose that's produced by marton mills.

YOUR RIGHT!!!!
"We are constantly striving to improve our product, and are proud to be promoting the Celtic heritage. We also offer you the largest selection of poly-viscose fabric in clan tartans as well as universal (open) tartans."
They must have changed that in the last while.
They used to be cotton and a poly/cotton or acrylic material.
(I no longer have any, so I can't read any tags)

Could one not approach an established kilt maker to purchase material?

Reading the tag on my old black watch sport kilt MacWage, and I see you're right.
I don't know ccga, I'd feel a little weird asking them for yardage, especially because they're apparently the exclusive producers of henderson in pv. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to shoot them an email and just ask.
Normally I'd go with a traditional wool kilt, but being a college student, money is tight, and the pv, from what I've read, makes an excellent alternative, especially because its cheap.

I once asked SportKilt about buying some of their California Tartan fabric and they were quite willing to sell me yardage at $30 a yard.
