21st USAKilt On Order
Finally succommed to repeat postings of the Caledonia tartan by Ham and Zardoz...ordered a semi-trad yesterday. My 21st USAKilt.
Talk about stupid out of the chute. For my first year kilted and hanging around this board I thought all the praise for Rocky and Kelly was hype. I figured no one was that good. Fortunately, came to my senses in September of 2005 and ordered my first USA Kilt.
Guess its obvious I like them.
Just me, but I've come to like the semi-trads best and have sold off a few of my casuals in tartans that I'd bought for the color, rather than clan connection, and used those funds to convert to semi-trads. Also, as I've fattened out of my Utilikilts and probably aged out of the UKs too I've sold them off and reinvested the proceeds in semi-trads.
So, right now I'm very patiently waiting, not jonesing or drooling or thrashing about.....well a little....for four semi-trads on order from Rocky and Kelly. The Caledonia, a Dress Gordon, a Gunn Modern, and a MacLean Hunting.
I'm patient...I can do this...really I can...have lots of other kilts to wear while I'm waiting...not a problem....easy does it....relax...
So, guess the point of this post is don't be a stupid as I was. Order up and enjoy.
Ron

For Ron... about 8 months to 1 year. HAHAHAHA
Right now we're at about 7 - 8 weeks. HOWEVER, we are about to get a HUGE order for the Kilted Trooper Brigade (kitled guys in star wars storm trooper outfits)... 48 kilts in the Prince of Wales tartan! That will push us up to about 9 weeks.

Congratulations, RiverKilt.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Don't worry, it'll take him a year to wear all the other ones.
Seriously, though, enjoy it, Ron.

Well hey...was that fleeting pic of the Caledonia in the Houston kilt night pics that triggered me, then this pic of you and the ones in Ham's album that sealed the deal.

Thanks Herman,
In seven years in the canyonlands I've yet to make Bryce...close, but no cigar. Thanks for reminding me. Will put it on the list for this summer.
And, do I have a short memory, or is that "retired" handle on your signature something new??
