    First kilt purchase today!

Finally pulled the trigger on my first Kilt.

Decided to go all in with an 8 yard premier kilt. 16oz Boyd tartan from Lochcarron. Went with the pub package so I also am getting a belt, buckle, kilt pin, sporran, hose, matching flashes, and a highland shirt.

Guess my next purchases will be for a sgian dubh and ghillie brogues.

Also eyeing the firefighter memorial tartan for a semi-traditional kilt next.......

Boyd, I can assure you the Firefighter Memorial tartan is a very fine tartan in semi trad, I own one myself.
It is a real favorite of mine. My paternal grandfather was a fireman, dating back to when they had horse drawn equipment.

I'd heard a lot of folks comment that they'd gotten their orders fulfilled in considerably less time.
I, too, was girded up for the long wait, and to my immense satisfaction, it only took two weeks! Have faith!

That's awesome. Great to pay tribute to him in that way. I did so by becoming one myself. Should have thought it through a little more.... Kidding. My father and his father were both firefighters.

I would bet that Mac mixed your order up in the Rush order pile by accident, so you got the rush upgrade for free. Our current turnaround is (SHOULD be) about 6 to 7 weeks from the order date.
