Gwar
well, I wore one of my USAK Wallace to the Gwar show at the NORVA a couple weeks ago and must say, if it can survive the Gwar show without any damage or staining (my t-shirt was colored brown), the USAK can survive anything.
Way to go Rocky and Kelly, keep it up
I should be at the Gwar show in Richmond on new years eve.

Ok, I have to ask, what is the Gwar show, where is NORVA, and was the t-shirt brown before the show or as a result of?
The kilt concealed a blaster strapped to his thigh. Lazarus Long

Gwar is a metal band that has to be seen to be understood, probaby the 1st shock rock band (excluding Alice Cooper). Google Gwar and you will find a veritable cornucopia of sites dedicated to them. The NORVA is a venue in Norfolk VA. and the shirt, well it started off as a blue shirt, but with all of the stage blood and other stage bodily fluids, was stained. I couldnt get the blood to wash off for about 2 days, giving my exposed limbs a beautiful blood stained patina.
there were also a couple of bands that opened for them, Mensrea, Devil Driver, and A Dozen Furies (which gave probably one of the best opening act performances of the night).
Even if it isnt your type of music, check out a Gwar concert just to know what your kids shouldnt be listening to.

Guess you never heard of Iggy Pop & The Stooges, whom Alice borrowed a nice chunk of his shock appeal from. :-)
As for Gwar, well, Wikipedia is your friend. :-)

Don't want to start a row but Alice is pretty well the originator of it all, going back to mid-sixties. Heavy metal would be introduced by Blue Cheer, copying Alice.

Devil Driver was the best out of the 3 openers...and they got a GOOD circle pit goin like the good ole days. Reminded me of Anthrax back in the day with Caught in a Mosh

I could agreee with you about Iggy, but if you want to go back even farther, Screamin Lord Sutch could be considered more shock rock and he was around a while before Iggy and the Stooges.
