    Rocky:
Not to take this off topic, but Marton Mills is changing the color variations for some of the CREST tartans? Is this going to be pretty discernible when one is wearing the "old" and one the "new"? Just curious for info on the changes.

    Thanks

Yes... The color changes will be noticable (though the setts will remain the same). The basic color will be the same (green will still be green), but it will be a different shade of the same color (i.e. olive green instead of kelly green).

I'm sad that Cork County is not in that list, please let me know if the mill ever offers you a discount on that tartan. I would very much like to take the dive and get a custom tailored kilt.

Munster is a Province (like a state in the US), not a county. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munster It DOES have it's own tartan, but it's only available from Lochcarron in 11 oz.: http://www.lochcarron.com/reiver/munster.html

Nik and Ron... the only ones on this list are ones that are going to CHANGE. The colors were not as nice as they could be, so MM decided to change the colors on certain tartans to make them a bit nicer. In doing so, they need to clear out some of the old inventory (they're discontinuing) first. Then they can re-weave the tartans listed above in the new colors. Louth and Cork look nice as they are, so they won't change (and therefore won't be on sale), but DO make nice kilts in their own right.

I'm debating between the following 3 for myself (I'll get 1 of them):

Limerick (since we're 10 minutes away from Limerick Power Plant / Limerick Township in Pennsylvania):

    Monaghan:

    Waterford:

    photos

Rocky, I am somewhat amazed at the considerable difference between the computer generated first tartan, and what appear to be photos of the last two. I assumed there were differences but the colors of the last two (the Monagham in particular) look like different tartans. I would not even consider either of the last two based on their computer generated images, but seeing the actual tartan I would. Is there a place/link to see the other tartans listed as photos vs.computer images?

    Thanks!
